Hi, I am Ingvald

I’m a hands-on, award-winning design leader who thrives on bringing big ideas to life. With a career spanning startups to Fortune 50 giants, I’ve had the chance to build, launch, and scale over 100 products and services that make a real impact.

I’ve led strategic design work for iconic brands like Ford, Optum, Intel, LG, PepsiCo, and Unilever. From physical products to digital platforms, my focus has always been on human-centered experiences that solve real-world problems.

Right now, I’m diving deep into healthcare innovation—rethinking how people access care and creating thoughtful, accessible services that meet people where they are.

If you’d like to explore my resume or dive deeper into my portfolio, I’d love to connect. You can also connect with me on LinkedIn through the link below.

TIMELINE

Every career milestone tells a story. For me, it’s a story of creating, leading, and pushing boundaries in design, strategy, and innovation. This timeline highlights key moments that define my journey.

Industrial Design

From concept to reality, I’ve shaped physical products that people use every day—like my work with LG, where thoughtful design met cutting-edge technology.

RESEARCH AND STRATEGY

The best ideas come from listening. Whether it’s a conversation with stakeholders or diving into user insights, I’ve led teams to turn complex challenges into clear paths forward.

AUGMENTED DESIGN THINKING

I believe the best solutions should fall at the intersection of Desirability, Feasibility, Viability, and Brand Fidelity. By anchoring design decisions in these four principles, I ensure every idea isn’t just functional, but meaningful.

This user-centered approach doesn’t happen in isolation. It builds on the insights of business objectives, industry trends, and customer needs—balancing creativity with strategy. The goal? Craft thoughtful, brand-aligned experiences that are as valuable to users as they are to the business.

ARTICLES & SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS

From classrooms to conference stages, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my approach to design thinking, strategy, and innovation with audiences around the world. Here are a few moments that stand out:

SCAD Design Methodologies:Partnered with SCAD leadership to explore design methodologies.

  • RKS Workshop: Led a workshop as RKS Vice President of Strategy. We took a deep-dive approach as we immersed the SCAD team in a highly-visual design thinking process.

  • Harvard Business School: Presented at Harvard Business School in a Marketing & Innovation class.

  • IIEX with Ford: In 2017, I was invited by Ford Motor Company’s Global Consumer Insights team to present during their showcase at IIEX where Pull was featured as an innovative research partner.

These opportunities have not only allowed me to share knowledge but also to learn from the next generation of designers, researchers, and strategists shaping the future of design.
